Daniel Pinto is Chief Executive and Founding Partner of Stanhope Capital. He chairs the firm’s Wealth Management Executive Committee. He has considerable experience in wealth management and merchant banking having advised some of Europe’s most prominent families and industrialists for over 20 years. Formerly Senior Banker at UBS Warburg in London and Paris concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, he was a member of the firm’s executive committee in France. He was also Chief Executive of a private equity fund backed by CVC Capital Partners.
Daniel founded the New City Initiative, a think tank comprised of the leading independent UK and European investment management firms. He sits on several prominent boards and investment committees and regularly contributes economic and financial editorials to leading newspapers. He is the author of ‘Capital Wars’ a book published by Bloomsbury in early 2014. His book won the prestigious Prix Turgot (“Prix du Jury”) and the HEC/Manpower Foundation prize.
Daniel holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA in Economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and an MSc in Finance from Université Paris-Dauphine.
