Giles has 30 years of experience at Credit Suisse. Prior to that he was a Research Fellow at the London Business School and worked at the Confederation of British Industry. He spent nearly 20 years on the sell-side and over a decade on the buy-side, with varying responsibilities that included Global Chief Economist, Head of Research roles – running teams of up to 400 people in four continents – and Deputy Chief Global Investment Officer with voting responsibility for asset allocation on over CHF 200 billion in client funds. Giles holds an MA from Oxford University in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an MSc from the London School of Economics in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics. He has been published widely, is chair of charities Tech4all and Techfortrade and is father to four grown children.
